Hon. Mary Wilson

MLA for Oromocto-Lincoln-Fredericton

Mary E. Wilson was elected to the Legislative Assembly on September 24, 2018 to represent the riding of Oromocto-Fredericton-Lincoln. She was sworn into Cabinet as the Minister of Economic Development and Small Business and Minister responsible for Opportunities NB. Ms. Wilson was re-elected on September 14, 2020, and she was appointed Minister of Service New Brunswick and Minister responsible for Military Affairs on September 29, 2020.

Prior to being elected, Ms. Wilson was employed by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), where she spent 20 years working with independent business owners and entrepreneurs in the Fredericton and Oromocto Area.

She has had over 12,000 meetings directly with independent business owners that has given her a unique insight into the opportunities and challenges facing this sector. She is intimately aware of what businesses need to create jobs in our province.

Prior to this, Ms. Wilson worked in the private sector for 16 years as an insurance broker and most recently entered the real estate world as a REALTOR®. She has an ability to relate and communicate with people and advocate on their behalf – all important qualities of a Member of the Legislative Assembly.

As a lifelong resident of Oromocto and member of a military family, she has a unique understanding of the sacrifices of the military and their families.

Ms. Wilson and her husband Rob have two adult children, son Bill and daughter Bobbi.
