A life-long resident of Hampton, Gary graduated from Hampton Consolidated School and from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Masters of Education.
Gary was elected in 2014, as the Progressive Conservative MLA representing the Riding of Hampton. Gary is a strong voice in the Hampton riding. Gary’s work on behalf of the Hampton riding includes making travel safer with road upgrades, brush cutting and striping of lines. Gary will continue to champion issues such as the Darlings Island flooding upgrade and the protection of our historic covered bridges. Gary has been an advocate for a full complement of high school trades courses for students in his riding and across the province.
Gary is a former school principal and educator with a passion for community service. Gary volunteers with the Hampton Rotary, Hampton Food Basket and is often seen in his community volunteering his help whenever he is needed.
Gary’s energy and enthusiasm can be seen through his large following on social media and attendance at most community events throughout the riding. He is a strong constituency MLA who brings out the best in others in the community with his congratulatory messages recognizing milestones or achievements of those in the Hampton riding.
Gary’s dedication to his community has always been evident, as he poured his energies into the education of our children, into Town Council, District Education Council, a strong supporter of local business and now as your Member of the Legislative Assembly.
Gary’s energy and skills have been very evident through his representation of the people of his riding from Red Head to Hampton to Hammond River. Always a good listener, Gary is known for being very approachable and always just a phone call away for the residents in the Hampton Riding.
Gary and his wife Marcia are proud of their three children and four grandchildren.
Gary wants to ensure his community continues to have good representation.
With your support, Gary will join the Blaine Higgs government and continue the work started in 2014, to move New Brunswick away from being a have not province to a province of sustained prosperity. Gary wants New Brunswick to be a province where our children and grandchildren can grow their futures and continue our legacies.
Gary welcomes the opportunity to be re-elected as MLA so he can continue serving the constituents of the riding of Hampton.
