Lifford

Troy Lifford most recently served as the assistant manager of the New Brunswick Federation of Woodlot Owners.

He was elected to represent Fredericton-Nashwaaksis in the September 27, 2010 provincial election. He sits on the Standing Committee on Estimates, the Standing Committee on Law Amendments and the Select Committee on Point Lepreau.

He was named Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Natural Resources November 5, 2010.

He has worked in, and provided consulting services to, the forest industry in Ontario and Eastern Canada including supervising the largest operation of its kind in North America.

Following graduation from Fredericton High School, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick.

Mr. Lifford has volunteered with various community groups, including the Fredericton YMCA, Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer Society, and the Kidney Foundation. For four years he was a member of Park Street Elementary School’s Parent School Support Committee, including a term as committee chair.

He and his wife, Janice, live in Nashwaaksis with their four children.
