Jake
Stewart

Jake Stewart was born and raised in Blackville.

He served on the municipal council from 2008 to 2010, when he was elected to represent Southwest Miramichi in the September 27, 2010 provincial election. He is a Progressive Conservative Member.

At the Legislative Assembly, he chairs the Standing Committee on Legislative Officers and he is a member of the Standing Committee on Procedure and the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

An avid musician, he has volunteered his talent to various benefits and fundraisers, including those for the local food bank, cancer research, and diabetes research.

He graduated from St. Thomas University in 2003 and went on to receive his education degree from the University of Maine in 2009.

Mr. Stewart is an avid fly-fisherman and experienced fishing guide in Miramichi. He has also studied in Europe, worked in Asia, and lived in the United States.

He and his wife Shannon are the busy parents of three children: River, Roman and Leia.
