Paul Glendon (Glen) Tait worked for the City of Saint John Fire Department for 34 years, holding the position of fire chief for 10 years.
Following his retirement, he ran for Saint John City Council in 2004. He served as city councillor until 2008, when he decided not to reoffer.
A Progressive Conservative, he was elected to represent Saint John East in the September 27, 2010 provincial election. He is vice-chair of the Select Committee on Point Lepreau.
He was named Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Finance November 5, 2010.
Born and raised in Saint John, Mr. Tait’s hobbies include golf and skiing.
He lives in Saint John with his wife, Dawn, and two children, Glendon and Heather.
