New Brunswick artist featured in exhibition in France

The work of Nicole Haché, an artist from the Acadian Peninsula, is being featured in an exhibition at Le 5 Opéra art gallery in Paris, France from Feb. 2 to April 14.

“Nicole Haché’s talent has taken her far and inspires many others to follow their dreams,” said Tourism and Parks Minister Trevor Holder, who is also minister of Wellness, Culture and Sport. “We have so much talent in New Brunswick it is great to see the work of an artist like Ms. Haché showcased on an international level.”

Entitled Adventure to Adventure, the exhibition features several of Haché’s collections that display her perceptions of her environment, of New Brunswick and particularly the Acadian Peninsula.

Haché grew up in Lamèque, on the Acadian Peninsula, surrounded by nature. Influenced by her surroundings, her art is colorful and expressive of a celebration of life and a simple happiness.

This is not Haché’s first international exhibit. Less than a year ago she had an exhibition in Poitiers, France and has also had exhibits in Belgium and Egypt.
